Rena Sherel SOFER
Rena Sherel Sfer is an American actress
from the United States. She is well-known for her appearances on American
daytime TV, episodic guest appearances and made-for-television films. In 1995,
Sofer received a Daytime Emmy Award for her portrayal of Lois Cerullo in the
soap drama General Hospital. Since 2013, she has been playing Quinn Fuller on
the CBS soap the show The Bold and The Beautiful. Sofer was the daughter of
Susan Sofer (a psychologist professor) and Martin Sofer (a Conservative rabbi).
Her family subsequently moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, until when,
following the divorce of her parentsSofer moved with her father and brother
David to Teaneck, New Jersey, in the year 1970. However, Sofer lived in Western
Pennsylvania as a child. Their family lived in Ambridge Pennsylvania where
their father was director of the Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She then attended
the Frisch School, a coeducational Mordern Orthodox Jewish high school located
in Paramus, New Jersey. Sofer resided in North Bergen, New Jersey in the town
where her father was rabbi of synagogue Temple Beth El. She completed her
studies at North Bergen High School, later attending classes at Montclair State
College. Sofer played Lois Marie Cerullo for the first time on General
Hospital. In 1993, she worked as the manager of the band. But her first
big-name part was that of Rocky McKenzie on the daytime soap drama Loving
(1988-91). Her most famous role is her character in General Hospital as Lois
Cerullo (December 15, 1993 - September 24 1996). In the following years, she
was guest-starring on the show (February 7-17 1997; September 30th - October 2,
1997). In 1995, Sofer won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting
Actress on a Drama Series for her performance in the role of Lois. Sofer was
invited to join CBS the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful in the role she
had just created as Quinn Fuller. Her first episode aired on July 12. Sofer has
appeared in several notable primetime TV series in a guest-star or supporting
cast member rolessuch as Seinfeld, Melrose Place, The Chronicle, Ed, Friends,
Spin City, Blind Justice, Ghost Whisperer, 24, NCIS, and Two and a Half Men.
